In September it will be my ten year class reunion. I'm really nervous about this. I don't feel as if I have accomplished as much as some other classmates. I have graduated from college, but I don't have a great job, family, have divorced, or any kids. I also am unhappy about my looks. I recently cut my long hair short and have been battling weight gain. I was always made fun of in school for my ears and my nose and now I have the weight gain. How can I release my fears and feel better about my self so that I can go to the reuninon? Any help or advice will be great!

I really don't have much room here to talk, but just hearing it from my other friends that did go, they said I would have been suprised...I didn't go to my 10th either because I was pregnant and I thought I look awful...and I didn't go either to my 20th because I was afraid of what I looked like. I am your average plain person. But do take care of myself and always wanted to look my best. After my friends went to the 10th, they said they really had a great time. Really, 10 years isn't that long considering most went to college (there is 4 years) And just to see what and how everyone is doing is the neat part. And then not going to my 20th, my friends said I really missed out on a lot. I was so worried about what I looked like...there was this one girl who was there at our 10 year and my friends told me what she looked like then, and I was suprised. In high school she was a "beauty queen" and now they have said she has really changed. They said she really had gain a lot of weight. But...she still went. I regret not going to either of them now. You should be happy with your self and how you look (this is what I have been told) I really think you should go and maybe you will be suprised on how others have changed in the last 10 years. Don't miss out on something that only happens once. 10 year reunion...yes there will be 20, 30 and so on, but take the chance on this one and go...I wish now I did.
    Good luck, and God Bless
