  1. Merry Xmas x
  2. I "renamed" my Boxer "Holly" after Holly Holms, a local professional woman Boxer. My girl has "picked up" 7-10 lbs. and is ready for her "spaying operation". I dread taking her back into the shelter because she will be afraid she is being "dumped". They need her overnight, but I will be there to "pick her up" the second it is "safe " to do so. She is such a "sweetheart". The "Shelter" had her "listed" as approx. 7 years old; but I don't believe that. I was looking at her teeth and they are "pearly white" even in the very back. She can oly be three maybe four. She is a wonderful Christmas Present, much better than the topaz jewelry i go my wife. lol
  3. Hey... Well Sluggo will always be Sluggo...

You know I love stories like that, animals neglected and someone like you or I take them on and GIVE them a LIFE

Merry Xmas sweet, say it when we get closer lols..

Really nice to hear from you
  4. Hi CW;
Not really anything different. Daughter is still maried to "Sluggo" and he has been through three "jobs". She is trying to break into the craft fair thing. Of course...that doesn't do much to "pay the bills" But hey...what do I know?
My "older" Boxer passed away. Couldn't even see a Boxer without crying for five-six months. But for Christmas my wife agreed we would "adopt" a "rescue" Boxer. Found a lovely girl at the local dog shelter. Poor girl; obviously "someone's pet" but she had been "on the street" for some time and "starved down" to where she was a "rack of walking bones". Vet even refuse to consider "spaying" her because she was in such "poor shape". But we have had her for a little over a week. She has 'excellant" dog manners- more proof she was a "pet". And she isn't looking quite so "starved".
Other than that..things are much the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
  5. Hello you, I miss the oldies Not age wise, that was really nice of you to do that for her and I'm glad you dropped by.

I am really busy lately with work, so I am not here 1/2 or even 1/4 of what I used to be But, It makes me smile to see these messages.

Take care send me a PM tell me what you've been up to when you get time.
  6. hi there CW. I was looking for an old post that I remember having good advice on a subject I was asked about. Found it and "passed on" the good advice- and yes I gave credit where it was due and recommended this site to the young woman. She asked me to "sponser" her in AA. I explained that it would be "inappropriate" and helped her find a couple of meetings with women members who had some solid sobriety. But since I was "in the neighborhood" I did want to say "HI".
  7. Hi Sahara, just stopping by to say hi, how are things...
  8. I should read that, I've heard of it, I think I'll get it

Actually you may have seen I also have a Pomeranian, small dogs matters lol's She's 15 bless her, and my fiance has a Basset Hound, pedigree teaching him not to hunt, ie) my pomeranian

I think women enjoy the "stress release" and beauty of gardens, my fiance is a Chef so he enjoys the veg patch and herbs
  9. Gave the Mrs a copy of WOMEN WHO RUN WITH WOLVES; she loves it. She's the gardener of us. Plants lots of flowers and raises a few vegetables. Saw your dog- gorgeous! We have my "older" Boxer( Ali- the good dog); a pug that came to us as a refuge, and my wife's christmas present-Abel ( a mini dachshund). The small dogs are spoiled rotten...but they are so small it doesn't matter.
  10. I think you can create your own beauty, if the soil is dry, then cactus, that flower, amongst white pebble stones, a pond

My ex loved motorbikes, to the extent the house was filled with toy ones, and cars, and his shed, and a back room That was his passion, shame he couldn't find extra time then for his wife...(smiling)

There is something about a wolf...I have a Siberian Husky, she's in my photos, have a look, she speaks , "I love you" shakes hands, understands words I speak to her, is tolerant, dosile and playful as well as respectful and obediant without a raised word, just words...

The area I live in is a mixture of nice people, to feral people slightly industrial, loads of shops, no reason to go further as it's all there...It is a poorer part of SA, however, within 10 minutes we are amongst country, wineries, hills and within 5 the beach...A home is what you make...

I love the idea of Country, ducks, owls, birds, swans, rivers... One day that will be me
