What a lovely story. sigh... I agree that older men are more mature and if they know what they want, then there's a lot of potential. I haven't been looking much as I don't feel like it. Maybe when I start getting out more and enjoying time with friends, I may find a lovely surprise like you did. Thanks for sharing, chickita!
I believe that "older" gentleman who don't "hate" their previous partner and really want to be happy, are different people, they have grown in life. x
3 bottles later, 2hrs conversation, he was just, well, intreging to talk to, held my attention, at the end I gave everyone a bus card, as I handed his to him, I said call me, the rest is history He took the time to get to know me, not what was on the outside.. That was the key that well made it all happen. What I did gleem is that he was ready to be loved, wanted to be loved, had good morals and core values, yet personality. Not a day goes by where he won't hug me, look me in the eyes and smile... And, fortunately for me, he's looking for his life partner.
Stranger In all honesty, I so believe this to be true, when you are "not" looking, so you don't 1) make the wrong mistake, or 2) get used, or tried to or 3) settle, you find... That's what happened.. Each date was pfttt, or had baggage, not kids, finances, just within themselves, so I just gave up. My Property Manager an I went out to dinner, for some reason I chose a different place, for her, instead of what we were doing, along the beach a place, we both had been before, together... It was Christmas, 23rd Dec... Later at night, she had walked off to say hi to someone, she knew one of the owners, he came an kept me company, she retired, the head waiter sat down as they suggeseted a bottle of champs, then one of the other partners (chef) walked out and was asked to sit down...
