Sorry for not getting back to you, I have not been online much on this site. The implanon has been working great, I've had two cases of it since March last year.

I dont think i saw this reply below, the reason why I haven't had thrush anymore is mainly because I havent got my period since about May last year.

I am sorry, I've not seen her for awhile and can not recall what she said about it. I suggest reading the V book as it had a little section on it.

How are you? What did you decide on?

Hi Jayci, thankyou so much for replying! i also have been prescribed the Implanon from my GP, am so glad you say it works for the monthly thrush. i am getting mine inserted in a couple of weeks.
Can i just ask, is the reason your not getting the thrush anymore because you dont get a period on the Implanon? or are you still getting a period but there is no thrush?
My GP also suggested the Depo-Provera shot, but i dont fancy this as it can take a while for your fertility to return, but if the implanon doesnt work for me i will probably try the depo shot. so glad im not alone in this horrible monthly thrush siuation how bad is it!!
was told if theses contraceptives dont work for it i have to go to a Gyno and see if they have any other ideas.
what does your Gyno say about this monthly thrush? thanks Chanel.

I aplogoise for the delay, I haven't logged in for awhile. My Gyno had prescribed to me the Implanon, which I got in on 19 March 2010 and ever since, no more Thursh. I've also taken a lot of Inner Health Plus and kept my vitamin levels up, I still do though try and limit my sugar intake as well as bad food and this has helped.

It is possible that you can be allergic to the combined pill and it is possible to suggest to your doctor or gyno to test the Implanon, the only time that I didnt get it was when I had the Mini-pill. I have no children and considering how unreliable it was, I didnt want to risk having any, I know that if I did fall pregnant back then we would have been able to cope and love the child no matter what but didnt want to risk it.
