why thank you, she is gorgeous and smart, when i first dated my SO he was supposed to leave when the work ran out. he told me straight dont get too attached to me, when the work runs out i am going to leave, etc etc when it was time to go, he just couldnt, so anyway we have worked around it. i think you will too. take care.

As for me, still depression comes and goes when the thought of leaving BF due to a contract which is about to end next year. He said we'll figure something out...he keeps comforting me and telling me to live on the NOW. Been a challenge...otherwise...everything is working well with BF and I. He's very affectionate.

it does sound like it all just gets dumped on you, she puts on her best behaviour for your brother. so are your parents still together? it sounds like everyone has built up coping mechcanisms for dealing with your mother. their main one seems to be dumping it all on you. i am sorry they dont seem to appreciate you, i wonder if your mother is aware of the damage she causes, mine doesnt seem to be. she thinks its everyone elses problem1

I am the oldest. One sibling. He lives away so he does not have to deal with it. However now he is trying for their first children, so he will have to be up against what I have all these years. He is like my father and able to detach himself without even speaking to her about how he has felt. I am the bad one since I have been more involved and saying NO to everything. He is in the military so when he comes home, he is the reason she will sober up for. It makes me very upset that she does that for him but not for my kids. That is why I said enough was enough. If you cannot get clean to have a relationship with your grandkids, then I have done all that I can do.
