Places like WashDC and NYC come to mind as having more opportunity to use your language skills but even there you are likely to end up an interpreter, making a fair but limited income. You have to weigh the time and cost of additional education against increased opportunity. What about studying abroad? That might really increase your both your skills and future opportunites.

Education is a curious thing. More doesn't always get you further but less can hamper you. Guess the big question is what do you plan to do with your education? One of the big things contributing to women making 73 cents to a man's dollar is that women get as much or more education, pay as much for it but study for fields that simply dont't pay. The other issues are undervaluing ourselves and poor negotiating skills. I'm going to guess there aren't many opportunitites to use your skills where you live?

That's exciting. I've often wished I could further my formal education but there is just too much on my plate. Perhaps someday, when I'm older and less frantic. Waiting for apple betty to cool enough to eat. My daughter is home from the dorms for the weekend and we all wanted a treat.
