You don't have to tell anyone or go with anyone. Do you have insurance? If you use it, the visit will show up like any doctor's visit ... and if you don't have insurance there should be low-cost options near big cities. Seeing a gyno is a good idea at around age 18 regardless of if you're sexually active or not. There are other issues that they can check for. Your mother should want you to be healthy.
