A pap smear doesn't hurt much! And as long as you're in there, you might as well get one anyways. You might have to have one to get your BC. It's not for checking STDs, but to check on precancerous cells in your cervix. It's a good thing to get. It hurts about as much as if you brush your teeth too hard and your gums hurt. im goin to the gyno for the first time. i just had sex, im only 14. my mom wants me to get a pap smear, birth control, and my shots. I DO NOT WANT A PAP SMEAR. shes stayin in the waiting room so do you think she will find out if i tell the doctor no or what? they cant make get one can they? i just wont birth control and my shots. i know i aint got no deasice cause i made my bf get tested before we did anything and he didnt have anything.
