A pap smear doesn't hurt much! And as long as you're in there, you might as well get one anyways. You might have to have one to get your BC. It's not for checking STDs, but to check on precancerous cells in your cervix. It's a good thing to get. It hurts about as much as if you brush your teeth too hard and your gums hurt.
