Thank you so much Maverick, that made my day
I think that NC and VA do have reciprocity now (as do most CCW states). But your point of keeping the hardware concealed is a valid one. A recent interpretation of the definition of "terrorism" may make it illegal in NC to carry openly... at least accoring to the Raleigh newspaper. Good to hear from you and LanaBear. I thought I might get slammed with that post so a nice suprise.
One of the (fortunately) few times i wore handcuffs (well, hmmm...wore them unwillingly) was late at night in N.C.. Was pulled over by a very young and nervous deputy on a lonely road out in the sticks. He saw my concealed weapon and immediately drew his pistol, spread me cross the hood of my car and slapped the cuffs on me. I was afraid 'cause he was panicked and I thought he might just shoot accidentally. I had my VA CCW but not NC - almost had him convinced there was receprocity between the states (I knew there was not, but guessed correctly he didn't exactly know what the word 'receprocity' meant). It all ended well, but I was facing serious felony time if he charged me. That as well as wondering if he'd get to excited and shoot while trying to get me into the cruiser. Shot is shot, regardless of whether he's 'sorry'. Taught me a good lesson - concealed means concealed and to stay legal as much as possible
Hello - Saw your response in regards to the 2nd amendment! Nice to know others feel the same way as we do.
hey Mav - just read your post re-'are you male or female'. 2nd amendment YES! Am a self-admitted 'gun-nut' and 2nd proponent. CCW license for more years than I can remember (an a few years of not-so-legal-carry before that). Anyway, hi from the Old Dominion state P
