Well Im just not entirely convinced that this (estrogen levels) is why sex is hurting for me. I actually was in the bathroom yesterday after my shower and decided to have a look at myself. So holding a mirror out in front of me, I was trying my best to see if I seen anything at all that I thought could be contributing to my pain/discomfort...and I did notice what looks like a scratch. So I'm thinking about calling my Dr back & sitting up another visit. I did speak with another nurse at this same place that I go, and she told me to use the cream for 2 wks and see what happens. She also told me if I wanted to go off the pill for 3 months and see if I notice any change. I have spoken with my husband and he said he would support me with whatever I choose. But before I make the decision that the cream isn't working or that I should go off the pill, I think Im going to call my Dr tomorrow and see what they can tell me about what I see down there.....

Vaginal dryness is a very very common effect of being on birth control. I personally was so wet beforehand it was messy. Now I am just about right in the wetness department, so it worked really well for me, LOL. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going off birth control, but you can talk to your doctor about changing to a different brand, see if that helps, as different brands of birth control cause different side effects in different women. But it sounds like the vaginal cream may be a good solution, you will make more of your own lubrication instead of having to use lube every time you have sex. On the other hand, I have heard that using coconut oil as a lube is a great idea, it is a natural oil, smells and tastes good, and it easy to buy and store. It comes in a solid form, so just heat up a little bit of it before you use it. Good luck!
