This is my doctors tips and they do work for me: 1. Use Dermaveen Bath/Shower oil or Sorobalene to wash in - this will keep your ph level in that area normal. 2. She gave me some cream to use if the symptoms become bad - Advantan ointment (in Australia this is prescription only) 3. My gyno recommended to use sensitive toilet paper(as she believed it was because of being allergic to the perfumes - still do and its helped as well) I hope that in the time that it has taken me to reply that you have some success. Please seek professional help from gynos and if you feel one isnt working go get a second opinion, my gyno is excellent and she was my second one.
Hi Shanlynn, I apologise for the delay, I only have logged in for the first time since May or June. I would love to say that I have, however, unfortunately havent been cured from Group B strep. I am as I type this suffering from it now. I can say that since getting the Implanon in my arm and being treated by my gyno here in Australia that I've not had any issues for a long time. My doctor has suggested a way to control it, as not many doctors like to give antibiotics as in a few months it will come back again (in my experience) and they only prefer to give them to women who are expecting. I've met a doctor today who believed that yes antibiotics are needed however, she gave me one which treats BV as she believes that I have BV this time round, will find out in a few days time.
