I'm looking in the mid Michigan area in the States. I hope to get something similar to what you got. I am looking at something with 5 acres 3 bedrooms, full basement, 2 baths and a large inground swimming pool at about 139,000 US... It also has a fireplace but needs some work.
Actually, I did find that the prices of the houses were comign down because of our economics. I paid 235,000$ for mine. I have 3/4 of an ancre of land with abotu 30 large mature trees on it. Good luck for the searches... people don't take care of their home. What area are you lookign in? I am in the outskirts of Ottawa.
I'm in the process of trying to buy a new home here too. Where did you buy your new home at and what was the price range if I may ask. Also do you feel you got a better deal on it because of the current economic market?
