Wow, I bet it looks amazing in the snow. The best we have in the uk are fairly small parks with poisonous plants and bratty children and dogs.
The weather there is extreme, but not in the humid sense. When it's hot, it's between 90-100. But 90% of the time it's absolutely freezing. It was snowing there just last month. My boyfriend is working there right now and he said the other morning it was 38° F when they went to work. Selfish doesn't begin to describe the tourists in the park. haha
I LOVE morning glory, its such a shame people throw rubbish and money in and are spoiling it. Very selfish. I have never heard of Glacier Park before but I just went to their website and it does look beautiful, maybe I will visit there too one day. I would like to visit yellowstone mainly because I love volcanoes, they fascinate me. Would like to visit Pompeii one day. Is it very hot and humid around and in yellowstone park?
There are little walkways around most of the geysers, so I'd say you can get within 10 feet or so. It's bittersweet for us here because it really is a great place but there are literally MILLIONS of tourists there. The place is crawling with idiots. It's worth a trip though if you're ever in the states. I like Glacier Park better, they are totally different though. Glacier is pure beauty and Yellowstone is just crazy weird with all the geysers and hot pots. ....and yes, it's just like you see in the pictures.
I just read your post saying you live near yellowstone park... WOW! I would LOVE to visit there! Is it as amazing as it looks/sounds?! How close are you allowed to get to the geysers Ect?
