Default hormone replacement

just had a laparoscopically hysterectomy last Thursday. What are your views on synthetic hormones vs. natural. My mother has been on synthetic for 30 years and has not had any problems?

I like compounded hormones because...

They are the same as human hormones. Nothing synthetic or "horse" based.

They don't smell like pee if you break open the pill. Try it! Ugh!

They are more then just synthetic Estrogen or Estrogen/progesterone. The compounders can make up a combo that has the weaker Estrogen and even Testosterone for mood, sex drive etc.

The doctor I have measures all my hormones over a 24 hour cycle and matches my "cream" to my needs. Its not a one or two doses fit all thing.

I have been on Premarian (horse pee) for a long time and am so grateful to the many horses who have made my sanity possible. And, personally, I don't think you can get more natural than horse pee.

You really just have to find what fits best for you and your life. I wish you all the luck.
