Menopause symptoms, hormones normal
Right now I am thoroughly confused! I am 38 yrs of age and have the following symptoms: bleeding brown through much of my period, periods sometimes short, other months longer, extreme fatigue, dizziness at times, depression at times, periods sometimes a little late-sometimes a little early, headaches, nausea, hot flashes sometimes during day and more commonly at night and irritability. Some of these symptoms are worse when my period ends. I have been seeing an endocrinologist who checked my hormone levels before my period and on the 5th day of my period and he said they all were normal. My thyroid was a bit enlarged, but no nodules so he did not prescribe any medication. I also seen a nurse practitioner at my ob/gyn who examined me and said there was no signs in regards to my cervix and she then stated she would have to see my blood work. I told her that I had a bad hot flash while sitting in the endocrinologist's office and he checked my blood sugar and said it was normal. I don't know where to turn and why my hormone levels are normal. I don't want to see any more doctors because I don't think any could tell me what is going on! Oh and I have also had hair starting to grow on my neck since last year! This is making me more depressed because I have insomnia and my psychiatrist will not give me anything to help with sleep without a diagnosis. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know if some other disease can mask itself as premenopause???? Is there any experts on another site to ask this question???
