My doctor prescribed the medicine VagiFem to me for my dryness. I have 4 more refills on it, but after using it one time, I just don't have the money to pay for it. I don't have any insurance and for half it cost me 72 dollars. That was 12 vaginal pills. Is there anything over the counter that would be even close to this medicine?

    Looking forward to an answer
    Thanks

I know there are a variety of alternatives and some herbal/natural..

I would suggest that you be honest with your Doctor and ask for something less expensive, as well as mention herbal as you should always inform your Doctor of any alternatives you try.

I know that natural yogurt is used for yeast infections and possibly, not a bad thing in the meantime to try out for keeping away the dryness.

If I might (I'm a married man on the end of middle age) since my wife is also experiencing some issues as well. Not only with this but other perimenopausal symptoms as well.

I've been looking at natural/herbals as well. There are many products out there as it is a greatly expanding industry. But some of them are somewhat expensive as well.

Maybe an other source would be natural oils such as those found in certain foods. If changing your diet could alleviate the severity of the issue it could be cost effective.
