my doctor officially diagnosed me with perimenopause earlier this year and started me on birth control pills. some of the symptoms subsided for a while except for when i went on the "reminder" pills. then my emotions went haywire and my brain took a vacation. now, several months later, the symptoms seem to be there regardless. i mentioned it to my dr. and for the first time she looked at me and had no answer. more or less like she didnt know what i was talking about. the biggest problems i'm having right now are with the night sweats, the mood swings, and the concentration and memory. it doesnt help that i also have ADHD. i just wanna know i'm not the only woman out there like this and that i'm not going crazy.

Ohhh, I can't help much, I'm over 50 and just haven't had any of that. But really I'm too busy for it. I personally believe that diet, exersize and attitude have as much to do with it as anything - at least for me. If I get down in the dumps I do start to experience some of this. Last year I did get constant bleeding and had a D&C with Ablation - great choice. No more muss or fuss.

Check out what natural healer Susun Weed's books have to offer? I think you may find some help there.

    Default Craving Balance

Hi I am a nurse practitioner and I just wrote the book, Female Brain Gone Insane; An Emergency Guide for Women Who Feel Like They Are Falling Apart.
I have counseled women on bio identical hormones, PMS and perimenopause for the last 20 years.
You a lacking true hormonal balance and there is nothing in a birth control pill that you are lacking. With some bioidentical hormones and nutritional supplements you could feel sooo much better.
