    Hi Ladies,

    Well where to start hummh!

I wanted to put it out to discuss what the is wrong with me, i will list a few of the problems and see if your able to shed any light.

I suspect its perimenopause but wanted to make sure that its not an adverse reaction to the Implanon i had fitted over a year ago.

I have been irregular since having the implant (more often than not) back in March last year, however, in the last 3 months i have been on a constant period. Some days very light and almost non exist and then in the last few weeks....wow....its like a cant stop.

The last straw was two nights ago when i have been having blood clots the size of a small human (slight exeggeration, although it feels like im giving birth).

I have previously put it down to a big move that i have recently undertaken and therefore thought the stress has bought on my mood swings (complete nightmare for my partner and my son) sweats (being in a hot country) and well the following:

Hair loss (nothing to be too concerned about but looks like someone is down my plug hole)
Tiredness (naturally im not very fulfilling in the bedroom as im nearly alwasy asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow and i could cat nap for England)
Night sweats like i have never imagined
    Cramps
    Dizziness
Palpitations not everyday but i have to sit down when i get them
    Back Ache
    Swallen Ankles

God i sound like a walking medical case here....but its all pretty much whats happening to me day after day, needless to say im a mess and what should be a good experience living in a new country is a hateful experience.

Obviously when you read up on sites you will relate to it all and so thats why im here really as you guys seem to offer about the best advise.

Oh...i do have some pending blood tests and i have a ob appointment on Thursday but i cant wait so please do let me know what you think it may be please.

I look forward to your help

    Best

    Louise

If I may ask, kindly tell us how active are you - workouts, I meant. I would like to know your diet as well, and other underlying health conditions prior to the implanon - just to get some baseline.

Good luck on your test results - I hope it is going to solve the puzzle.

Wow...! Ive had my test results back and all normal phew. So i went today to see the OB and what a discovery eh!!!

Ive been informed that i have Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS) My goodness i would never have imagined that this would have been the case but sure enough they were there and waving at me! Grrrr.

Anyway with the extraction of the Implanon i am able to hopefully reduce them as the hormone secreated is causing them to grow and all the other problems i have will go as its seemingly the implanon that is the culprit.

Right now they are fairly big and i will have to have some tests done but they want me to go back every 4 weeks for a scan so they can keep an eye on them.

Well im relieved i now know what the hells wrong with me and im glad i havent entered into the world of Menapause just yet.

    Thanks ladies

    Best
