    Unhappy sex during perimenopause

I feel like this is an odd thing, reading most posts here but I have been told by my dr. that I am indeed in the perimenopause stage. I just turned 51 and have no symptoms other than excessive bleeding during periods and sometimes 2 per month(fun) Anyway, I find that since the onset of this I am constantly aroused. I feel like an adolescent again. I find myself sort of enjoing the company of men like never before.Casual guy watching 4recreational purposes. Nothing crass or unladylike, just fun. I am driving my husband crazy, constsntly wanting sex, and basically just cant get enough. I have a renewed interest in my appearance. I want to do all the things we did as young lovers. It is a great feeling, but for the most part quite inconvenient. I dont want to lose this, to some degree, but sort of tone it down would be nice. My biggest fear, that I will one day wake and fi nd the total opposite feelings i nside. No interest in sex, no lust for life, etc. Anyone else dealing with this?

Well I keep saying my biggest symptom of memopause is horniness - not that I wasn't before, just more so. It's cruel irony cause men at this age or earlier, seem to have slowed down so much.

I had the bleeding thing going on a little over a year ago, it was draining me, in addition to being messy. I got a D&C and ablation (they tired drugs and that turned me into an emotional mess- so I said NO) anyway, that was a great choice for me. No more bleeding, no muss, no fuss. I really think a lot of being horny is emotional - in general if I'm happy, I'm horny. But then right now I'm fairly miserable and still horny, so maybe that theory doesn't hold, except I'm not as horny. I do find that since my relationship fell apart, I'm having "symptoms" I didn't before. Namely hot flushes and really poor sleep. I suspect it has more to do with a low level depression than anything else.

I suspect the lust for life, fuels the other lusts. No reason why it shouldn't last! Stay active, eat well and have things in your life that interest you - including sex.

    Smile Thanx Wild

Well, good to hear that someone else is feeling somewhat the same thi ngs as I. None of my friends seem to get it. They are all in the sex is not a priority mode, most likely because their spouses arent interested, like mine. Well, I cant and possibly dont want to shut it off so I will figure so mething out. Just good to know Im not a total freak Thanx

Before my ablation, the gyn and I were talking and she asked if I'd had any memopause symptoms (she holds that most are more stress than anything else) I told her just being twice as horny. She cracked up and said, "I know", she probably my age - so it must not be too uncommon!
My problem is that I do not have a man in my life who appreciates or wants it. Go figure.
