I don't think so, I think your spotting and perhaps a bit of stress has happened.

There are no other signs happening so, don't panic YET...

Bloody being a woman for goodness sake all the things we have to go through and they only have to shave their face that's so unfair.

    Rant over.

I am convinced, at 52 give or take a week, that a lot of menopause symptoms are a combination of diet, exercise and stress levels, in a word - lifestyle. Combined with expectations. We are bombarded with messages about this all our lives. My mother died long before menopause, her only living sister had a ton of health issues. I have no expectations, so far as I can tell other than a stress induced (having nothing to do with age) response that created a physical situation requiring an ablation, the only "symptom" I have is a heighten sex drive. But that may be a lifestyle change thing too, having gotten out of a difficult marital situation.

I am active, walk, run, work out, have been getting back into yoga, meditate, have energy work done. Aside from a dark chocolate addiction eat a pretty good diet. The mind is a powerful tool. You do have understand that it is a tool and you can consciously use it.

What you eat, your activity levels and your attitude can and do affect your hormones and your responses.

    Wss that meant for me?
I dont have any stress in my life infact i have a very stressless calm life, and as for spotting what is the reason for it? today is day 4 of my period and its about 25% the other 3 days its been 1% hopefully today is my last day.

Btw i also think its unfair all men have to do is shave! as we have to do that aswell

Hi, I am 40 too, started night sweats about 6 mo ago, now I have them all the time during the day, and I suddenly put weight on around my belly, which I never had before, and can't seem to get rid of it. My symptoms started with restless legs, and joint pain, and fatigue, gradually increasing to sweats at night, then during the day, and a host of other unpleasant symptoms. Many people think at 40 we are too young, but from what I have read, it is really quite normal and common. the hardest part is the emotional upset, and the negative thinking, like immediately thinking the worst, or feeling depressed, or super angry, and also just forgetting things which makes me feel like an alzheimers patient sometimes. My husband is not supportive either, and this makes it all the more difficult. I suggest getting hormone tests. I just did it today. But also I have read that sometimes the tests are not so reliable. I believe that at some point we just know what is happening to us. I am sure that if you suspect that premenopause is happening it probably is. It can last for years before any interruption in the cycle. I still ahve my period. And the PMS is waaaaay worse. Hang in there. Eventually, they say, it does pass.

Hi Slguba, you are not going crazy. Your husband just needs to be educated about this process that us women go through. Perhaps he will understand a bit better. I am trying ot do the same with mine and it is not easy. For the last year he has just thought I am crazy and that i have changed ect. I guess it is true in a way. This is a period of change afterall. Have him read some sites and forums one night.

Hi Hyacinth, you need to explain a little more.

    When did it start?

    How old are you?

Why do you feel you were given that advice?

What medicine did the deside on?

Sorry for the questions but it helps with answers.

I am experiencing hot flashes, heart palpations, dizziness and just an off balance feeling. I am also experiencing severe joint aches. I am 47 and this has really increased in the last 6 months. Hang in there. It is not fun at all!
