    Question Burning sensation

When I started having hot flashes (about 4 years ago), they were never more than unpleasantly warm, but they were accompanied by a burning sensation starting just below the sternum and then going up and down my core (the only way I can think of to describe it). This has changed over time, but never gone away completely. Now it is a burning sensation just below the sternum that happens between 4:30-6:00 a.m. every night - it hurts (!) and it wakes me up. GI check-up says it is not acid or reflux. Hormones did not help. I cannot seem to find a pattern with stress or diet. I did have my gall bladder out after this started and one suggestion was scar tissue. It goes away if I get upright for awhile and I never have a problem during the day. Does anyone recognize this or have any ideas?

What color is you pee? Do you feel any discomfort on your sides?

Pee is normal colored and I have no discomfort in my side.
And while I think I am having trouble with Atrophic Viginitis (after reading about it), this burning is more up on the level of the sternum - I am wondering about whether dry mouth may be associated with it. Sometimes I think I am just drying up!

I am drinking lots of water and trying to do things that help with the dryness. I have been to a naturopath and a GI dr. I have tried meds, diet, supplements - so far nothing. I was hoping someone out there would recognize the symptom!
