Started periomenopause about a yr ago. Can handle the hot flashes and sleep distrubances as best I can.
I've become VERY concerned about weight gain and what feels like an uncontrollable desire and urge to EAT and EAT, Food feels like 'crack' to me- (what ever that feels like). I've never been obsessive but seems like I'm a different person who can no longer control myself. Point is, it seems like I'm an out of control eater since this set in and the MADNESS HAS TO END.
I've noticed I can't get enough sleep, eyes are exhausted as though I haven't slept at all. Today my sex drive is very high, like the pms symptom I used to experience.
Anyone else struggling w the EATING ADDICTION i seem to have w my periomenopause?
Your hormones are out of balance. Find a good doctor who specializes in bio-identical replacement - it will help you through your transition. I don't recommend the "pellet" administration of the bio-identical hormones because you can't take it out. A compound pharmacy can make it specific for you in a wide variety of options for administering. If you don't know of a good doctor, call a compound pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist. They are extremely helpful and will give you some names of doctors who know what they are doing. Good luck!!
