Hello,
I am new to the board. I had an endometrial ablation 5 years ago. The ablation completely stopped my period - so I won't have that sign (periods ceasing) when I start menopause.
I am 45 and have started getting, what I think might be hot flashes. Does nausea accompany hot flashes during menopause?
Thanks for any insight.
Hi EmsMom...I'm new here too.
You sound exactly like me! My ablation was 6 years ago, with a great result of no menstrual bleeding at all......and I've just started getting hot flashes (and night sweats!)
I've seen my GP, and she has sent me for a blood test to check Oestrogen and Testosterone levels.....That is the only definitive way of knowing how far into menopause you are (or if it's just a brief peri-menopausal "taste" of the real thing) Her words!!! I get my results in 2 more days.
If you Google Menopause...you'll see nausea is listed as a side effect of the "heat" response, as well as headache.....
Ah.... souds just great huh? !! LOL
