well i gave it a few days and have now somewhat answered my own question! menopause is here! so far, a few hot flashes and i am emotional, way emotional. dont know how much worse this is gonna get....suppose i will wait and see.
i am new here. i am 35. for the last 18 years i have dealt with cysts on my ovaries. through the years i have had cysts removed and pieces of ovaries along with it. just a couple days ago i had another cyst removed and my last remaining ovary. which means i should go through menopause. before the surgery the doctor said the cyst was surrounding the ovary and it could just be a shell of an ovary and that would mean it wasnt making much hormones. that would be great because menopause wouldnt be that bad. but i got to thinking about it and how could i have been having a regular period every month if my ovary wasnt making much hormone? has anyone else had this problem? any advice?

Hi adkina,
Unfortunatly the hot flashes can and may get worse for the first few years...I believe it is the individual that determines the intensity of the hot flashes...I've heard some women say if you eat right and exercise it can allieviate the symptoms of menopause...However I too have had surgery induced menopause and the hot flashes have progressively gotten worse over the last three years...I am now to the point of trying to find something to help allieviate the hot flashes because they are driving me crazy...I experience them 24/7 and it's wearing me down mentally as well as phsyically...Good luck to you
