Sounds like Menopause. I feel the same. It sucks, but it is a natural part of life so the male Doctors say. I have not used anything for it. Too much conflicting info out there. I am just hoping my hot flashes go away soon. I am 52 but feel 82.
To start with, I am 48 yrs. old. I have had problems with missed periods for several years. Usually 2 a year is safe to say. This year I have had 3 which started because the Dr. did a biospy. She said it would cause me to start and she was right. My other symptoms are: depression, irratibility, anxious feeling, major weight gain!!!, fatigue, trouble concentrating at work, hair loss!!, hypothyroidism. In other words, I just don't give a for anything. To top things off, my mother passed away in April. I felt this way prior to her death so I don't think it is the root of my problem. I have had blood work but all they tell me is, I'm fine. Well, I'm not. I take Synthroid 0.0025 mg and Celexia 10mg. Does it sound like i am experencing menopause or just plain crazy!!! I dont' think I can live through 8 years of PRE-menopause like this. Would Hormone Replacement rherapy be a help to me??? Thanks for any advise you can offer me.

Sounds like perimenopause. Educate yourself.
I keep pushing it but read , The Wisdom of Menopause, I've really found it helpful.
I've also found that when I do an emotional nose dive, wham, hot flash city! But when I'm eating well (that includes dark chocolate btw) exersizing and doing nice things for myself and having an attentive lover that you are not POd with at all really helps, the hot flashes go away. They stop completely.
I did have a D&C and ablation 2 yrs ago cuz I wasn't doing the wierd bleeding thing and that made a huge difference for me. Its hard to (I've been dealing with anemia since toddler years) keep your energy up when you are bleeding for 2 months at at time.
