My mom never quite learnt how to speak english ; so everything she needs I have to assist the woman and for the longest time we had a jerk of a family doctor. He's the type to push you out of the office as fast as he can. It wasn't until recently that this new office had opened up that we could change too. Anyhow to sum this story up|? Our old doctor prescribled my mom premian and Apo- Medroxy ( 2.5 mg ). A few days ago we finally saw the gyno ( specialist ) she told my mom that my mom had a partial hysterecomy she doesn't even have her ovarys anymore. There is nothing to protect against there was no point to use Apo-Medroxy. My mom's been complaining she's dizzy and tired for many months prob close to a year now but the gp kept saying she's overworked or she's just lacking sleep. He wouldnt do much about it. My question is that can taking the wrong type of pill for your menopause cause any serious health hazards? if there is I am tempted to speak to a lawyer

The premarin is for the hysterectomy she had, it deals with the hot flashes and any internal pain associated with burning and itching in the vagina. It is common to experience dizziness while taking the medication, only time to see a doctor is if the symptom gets very severe. Saying "I feel dizzy" is not the severe they are talking about, they are talking about falling down and smashing your head because you were so dizzy type severe. Same side effects are possible with apo-medroxy. You can go in to see a different doctor to get their opinion if things get bad.

There are side effects with everything and everything related to side effects are available to patients. People need to either ask their doctor if their doctor does not already provide the risks, or do their own looking while keeping in mind that there is no such thing as a drug without side effects. The other thing is the severity of side effects, having a head ache is not considered much of a side effect and will be labelled as a "mild side effect". There are listings on proper drug sites about rare side effects, these mean they are possible but it does not mean you will be affected in those ways if you take a medication. However if you do your own research into a drug going to blogs is a bad idea as they will and do promote false information because they themselves are terrified of medicine so they think no one should see doctors or take medication so they make it out to be like if you take something you are doomed...and that is simply not the case. Legally drug companies are locked in to win literally every case a person throws at them, all drug companies have to do is list that the side effects are possible and that some are rare. Having a sore stomach, head ache, being dizzy etc is not going to win a court case as all symptoms will be listed as side effects and none are going to be life threatening unless a doctor says so.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

We had one of those types of doctor's that refuses to give you proper testing and automatically proclaims everyone has crazy or depressed. she complainted of more then just dizzy. I just didn't want to write out too many things it might take up the entire page. That doctor rushes you out within 5 mintues before you could even address anything. But yeah your right every medication has some or alot of side effects I had the same thoughts as you that there might not be a case . I just wanted a 2nd or 3rd person's opinion. I dont know the specialist freaked out saying that our former doctor never should of given my mom Medroxy in the first place the way she said it made it sound extremely serious. But from what you are saying Medroxy and premain is the same thing
