Thread: Perimenopause or pregnancy???

I am 44 years old and had a tubal ligation 18 years ago. I have have always had regular cycles and my hormone levels are normal. Not sure if it is the beginning of perimenopause or not ....

My last menstrual cycle was in mid October. In Oct and Nov I had serious hot flashes and they stopped abruptly. On the 15 of January I thought I was going to start my cycle because there was a small amount of red blood on my tissue. That happened once. Nothing on the 16th and then on the 17th when I wiped there was a very small amount of brownish stringy blood on the tissue...Very small amounts, nothing on my pantyliner, just on the tissue and have had nothing since at all...my breasts hurt but I have fibrocystic breast disease so they hurt anyhow. I am feeling bubbles down low and a little movement but not sure if it is my bowels....the bubbles are different tho. Ugh. Any ideas? thanks!

It could be a sign of perimenopause. You have to visit your doctor to be sure. Women doesn't have the same process of undergoing perimenopause so be sure and be informed.
