Default Medical Menopause

I am having total hysterectomy next week due to adenymosis and cysts on ovaries and positive for BRCA 2 gene. I will be unable to take any hormones following surgery due to cancer risk. Any ideas for natural remedies to help with mood/hot flashes which will be immediate due to medically induced menopause?

I had this done at 47 years old. Supposed to be just the uterus but they surprised me and took out the ovaries. I was put on Premarin where I stayed until two years ago and they took me off and onto Estring. Now that is hot stuff for a woman. Makes her vaginal area as wet and ready to go as it can be. Maybe in time you can get this inserted.

Best receipe for you is the one I used. Forget about it. Don't believe everything you read. It will take a good 4 to 6 months to feel good again. Rest a lot but don't baby yourself and feel sorry for yourself. A lot of people have it a lot worse. Think positive. Have a lot of sex as this really makes you feel like a woman. In time you will. You are no different than the one's with their ovaries. You just weigh less.....

All the people read all these books of terror telling them what to expect with menopause. Lucky for me I never read one or else I would have driven him bonkers instead of jumping his bones all the time....

You will do just fine.....Much luck and love are coming your way through the keyboard.....Take care, Caroline
