Default Menopause

Last month my period was very heavy (with a lot of clots) for 3 days. Light for 7 days. Bleed for a total of 10 days. Throughout the 10 days, it was bright red. Never a dull brownish red. I got my period yesterday and so far it's lighter than normal. Bright red but on the TP, it looks like a conbination of bright red and brownish red. Could this be a sign of menopause? I'm 43 and early menopause runs in my family.

Thank you,

Bernice

Usually menopause skips cycles or you don't have one for a long time.
Also, hot flashes, mood swings (see other posts on this).

Yours sounds like fibroids or miscarriage. You may want to see a doctor.

Default Early menopause

Early menopause often creeps up on women in their forties in uncomfortable ways. It may leave them feeling like they are suffering from a chronic, if mild, case of the flu. It can wreak havoc on their emotions by precipitating severe mood shifts; and it can leave them absolutely bewildered about why they are feeling as they do. But early menopause is neither a physical nor emotional illness; it is simply a natural part of the aging process.

Please women never fear menopause....Embrace it for a new you is born...A new and free you that will no longer have to worry about a period or a child being born....And when you are on the other side of this mountain and have climbed this hill look down at your lover waiting for you....He is the one that now will need the help.....Treasure him and help him with these rough days ahead as he ages for your life has truly just begun.....It really is pretty neat.....
