Default No Period For 5 Months

So, I haven't had my period in 5 months and I'm not sure what is going on. I take pregnancy tests at least once a month ( to make sure ) and they all come up negative.

I haven't even had any signs of my period even .. like cramps or any PMS related symptoms.

I am waiting for my health insurance to be reinstated before I go to the doctor, but am still looking for possible reasons why it's just decided to stop all of a sudden. I've always been irregular, but not this irregular and I'm starting to worry.

    Thanks!

i have gone 5 months without one before. and yeah it stinks. sometimes when i just think about it and tell myself i need to start i will. it could be your iron is low, your stressed, your not eatting enough food, a number of things. hopefully its not anything serious. but seriously try telling your self you need to start and meditate on your abdomen area and think about the feeling of blood flow... it might work...

How old are you ladies? I'm going to guess 20s and 30s or pregnancy wouldn't be such a concern. Do you have a local STD clinic? They should be able to refer to a free or reduced services clinic if you don't have insurance. A hormone imbalance can cause this, some women just have odd cycles. You might try ginger to prompt it along. Use fresh ginger root to make a tea or grate it up for cookies or something like that.

Are you into hard core athletics or have really low body fat? That can cause periods to stop.

    Smile Hi me too

Yes me too no menstral cycle for 5 months.... oh my gosh it stinks...There are times i get soooo bloated i dont know what to do. Have you seen an OB/GYN. I recommend it. Im going to see one too my doctor is sending me to a specialist im worried cause everyone keeps telling me i might need surgery thats scary. But Im waiting to see a specialist. I recommend to see a Gyn specialist they are the only ones that could help. But youre not alone i know what youre going thru. Good luck I Wish You the best.
