Unhappy Please help, I can't find answers anywhere

I've looked all over the internet but I can't find an answer for me anywhere. I'm 17 and my period is almost a week and a half late, but I feel cramps and I've been really tired lately. I know for a fact it's not pregnancy because I've never had sex in my life. This is why I can't find answers to my question because I seem to have the signs of being pregnant. I've never taken any kind of birth control and I'm usually always regular. Please help, I've no idea where to go or who to ask. I told mom but she didn't really say anything and I can't go to the doctor's on my own.

Your period might just be irregular. Don't worry too much about the pregnancy thing if you're still a virgin.

What are these "signs of pregenancy" you are experience because some of it may be all in your head with the symptoms.

Research: Endometriosis

Also, why can't you visit the doctor on your own? A lot will have privacy policies and are very understanding of different situations. If you still can't do that, tell your mother how important your health is and, while it may be awkward to talk about it, it's essential that you get over it and make sure you're ok.

I've never been able to find a good doctor within 6 hours of where I live. I can't go to the doctor on my own because I wouldn't have the slightest idea of what to do and it might result in a panic attack.

hi, im 21 and just so you know you're not alone. i wont go into all my details because theyre different to yours, but i went for years of having no periods for up to 5 months at a time, but i would still get the cramps pms etc. if i was to give you any advice, it would be to see the doctor about it just in case.

I can't tell you what the problem was for me because to tell you the truth i never found out. i finally got the courage to see my doctor (i have a tiny phobia of doctors n hospitals for personal reasons) and we got so far as him asking me to make an appointment for an 'internal exam' (whatever that is) but i had to keep cancelling em cuz suddenly im now faced with the opposite problem - a period that wont stop! oh well..im hoping its just my body sorting itself out after all the years of missed ones.

but anyway yeah, if you miss more than one or two, i would get it checked out. hope you find out the problem (if there is one) soon!

Hello, like Cazzy said, you are not alone. I have always been irregular-in fact, I just posted a bulliten about it yesterday.
I'm 16, so close to your age. The last time I got my period was in july. I have gone three months in between before.
My mom is the same way- when I tell her I haven't gotten it in a long time, she just says its normal for teenagers to be irregular, but I do not see how 3 months could be normal. I am the only girl I know to be that irregular.
I really don't know how to help you, since I cannot help myself here, but try talking your mom into taking you to the doctor, or maybe even just call and speak to a doctor. I bet it is nothing, since you have been regular most of the time. SOrry I can't really help, I just want to say you're never alone!

There are so many factors that attribute to having delayed periods, stress, change in diet, weight gain or loss, there are a million things and all of those are experienced when you are a teenager. just dont freak out, calm down it's probably just your body adjusting with the hormones and the stress of everything. But if you are really worried about it get yourself checked out, and if you have keep bugging your mom, your health is very important.
good luck.
