Question much shorter, lighter period last 3 cycles

The last 3 cycles my period has been 2.5 days not the usual 5. It is a lot lighter than I usually have and is not accompanied by the usual cramping, clotting, and PMS I usually get.
Each cycle is 28 days after the last...I haven't been that regular since I was last on birth control pills.
I also occasionally get some spotting the first week or two after the period if I exercise.

I have had 4 children 3 of them were with medical assistance due to my irregular cycles. I know my body and this is very strange for me.

The first month this happened I noticed it was odd, then a few days later I recognised some of the symptoms of pregnancy, but when I tested I got a BFN.
Two more short periods later and I don't know what to think.

Anyone have any suggestions....

thanks.

You don't say how old you are. I might guess perimenopause except that your periods would be getting heavier and closer together. Why not go talk with your health care provider? See what they have to say?

Sorry... I am 32 my eldest is 9 and my youngest is 14 months, if that matters.
I mentioned the first odd period to my Dr the last time I saw her on an unrelated matter and she shrugged it off.
I have to see her again next month so I will bring it up again then, and mention it has happened 3 months in a row now..
I guess I am curious if this is something other women experience for no apparent reason or if it is a symptom to something I am not thinking of.
