any one experiencing sever lower back pain?
for the last couple of months I have been having continuously sever lower back pain and also pelvic pain, it feels like there is something putting pressure on my hips all at the same time and it just hurts and is very uncomfortable, my doctor gave me muscle relaxers and i have taken them a couple of times but i just feel so loopy that i can't function for almost 2 days after. does any one have any idea's I am thinking it may be my birthcontrol or something that has to do with my period but it seems to happen even when it's not time to have my period.

Is the pain internal, like it's stemming from your pelvic area and your uterus? Or is it a muscle problem, like you strained your back?

I am not quite sure the pelvic feels like its internal and the lower back feels like is muscle pain. I am not quite sure what to make of it really..... I have taken a couple of pregnancy tests last month and they all came up negative when i was late and low and behold the red monster reared it's ugly head. so in all honesty i dont know whats going on.

lower back pain
DO you have to pee all the time? But then it's only a trickle, or you can't pee at all?
I experienced SEVERE lower back, as well as pelvic pain - which really settled on one side. Had ultrasounds and biopsies to rule out a variety of things...then my gyno asked me some additional questions (20) and sent me to a urologist, after an MRI it turns out I HAVE kidney stones. By the way - it took about 8 months for me to get to knowing what was wrong, and I have a great Dr., and we tried a bunch of things, and I saw her probably monthly while we were trying to figure it out.
Good luck.

Thanks you guys, Lauraashley its possible that i do have endometriosis, my mom had it before she became pregnant with me, and I would like to know what your doctor says.
Cowgirl, I dont think its kidney stones, I have no problems going to the bathroom at all believe me, and I have been having to urinate more frequently though but it could be because i am drinking a lot of water when i am at work. But i think i need to make an apointment with my doctor to see what all is going on, when i went to go and see her i had pulled/ strained my lower back but it seemes like its getting worse every day so i dont know what's going on.

a friend of mine has similar pain. she has endometriosis and recently had surgery for it. But she also has Spondylosis (look up in wikipedia) as a result of a skiing accident. Something about the L4 and a fracture in the pelvic bone.
Just something to consider, especially if you've ever had an accident.

yeah, No1 the only thing about it though is that i have never had an accident of any kind that i have really injured my lumbar or sacrum and my pelvic bones , so i am beginning to think that it may be endometriosis. which makes things a little more difficult because my fiance and i do plan on have kids in the next couple of years.

Well on the bright side having kids usually cures endometrosis.

but has the side effect of consistent migraines and terminal brokeness!
Seriously though, endometrosis doesn't mean you necessarily cant have kids.
