Hi, I'm new to your site and I'm hoping you can help me. I'm 45 years old and after many years of having my cycle be 26-28 days, lasting 3-4 days, it has suddenly become very erratic. The last couple of months it has been 35 or more days and lasting 7 or more days. This past one was about 32 days and lasted about 11 days. A week later I got it again and still have it. The bleeding is fairly heavy and bright red and the weird thing is, it is more like spotting (on my pad) but when I use the toilet and wipe it's very heavy.
Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance. |

Is it possible that you're starting to go through menopause? When one of my co-workers started, she said she'd sometimes skip periods, and sometimes have 2-3 a month. Maybe you are going through it earlier then most women.
