Hey Ladies Im 15 years old and I have a problem and need some advice. The last time I had my period was in the middle of July and now its October and im really scared.

I've started having crazy ideas in my head like what if I have a tumor or if im the next virgin Mary(I KNOW THATS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS)

This is not the first time I've been late in my life because I've been a month late several times but never 3 months late!!!!!

I know im not pregnant because im still a virgin. Im also overweight im 5"4 and 262 lbs. and I know stress can be a factor because I have to go through it with school work and ignorant students that like to make jokes about me.

Im trying to go to the doctor to see whats wrong with me(IF THOUGH IM FREAKED OUT ABOUT IT) but my mother seems like she just doesnt care

If anybody thinks they know what is wrong with me or has any advice please post and I'll keep you guys updated

    Default Try not to worry

    Hi,

I don't think it is abnormal for a girl your age to have this happen. So, try not to panic. It's especially true if you have had extra stress from school, a change in your sleep pattern (maybe you are going to bed/getting up earlier for school than you were over the Summer?) - any number of things can cause this.

However, it might be a good idea for you to do a little research online because it is also possible that you have a cyst. You can have one without pain and they are very common. However, it "probably" is not that.

I'm sure your mother "cares", she just knows that it is not uncommon for this to happen. If this really starts to bother you, or you go another month, I would try a different approach with her. I'm not a parent, but I am an adult, and my guess is that if you approach her calmly and tell her you want to talk, and you pick a time that works for her (in other words, she is not running out the door to work or hurrying to get somewhere), and bring her information that you've found online, and tell her that you are really worried that it could be something and it is really stressing you out, maybe then she will let you go to the dr. I think sometimes it is all about the way you approach something, not just the actual matter at hand.

good luck! And again, try not to worry- doing so can actually cause the problem!

    Hello,
I am going through the exact same problem! I haven't had my period since July, either. I have, however, gone two to three months without my period as well.
As teens, we do have so much stress.
Right now, so much is going through my mind. Most of my friends have made the wrong desicion to do drugs, chemistry sucks, my dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma a little bit ago and has to go through radiation, my brother just got suspended for possession.. you get it. People do not understand how much teens go through, especially girls. I am 5'8' and weigh around 125, but seeing models on tv and in magazines really makes me feel bad about myself.
And yes, your weight and diet does affect your period very much. I am very unhealthy when it comes to food. A girl needs her ice cream and chocolates!!
I suggest going to a doctor. I am going this month on the 30th, and plan to ask a nurse about it. My mom also seems not to care, she thinks it's 'normal' to be late. Not 3 months late, though.
If I find anything interesting out, I'll let you know. I hope you will do the same.
    Good luck!

Fat releases hormones (why a lot of obese women grow more hair than others, have deeper voices, etc.). These hormones do all sorts of bad stuff to your body, including making your periods irregular, whether they become constant or nonexistent. I'd say it's a combination of obesity and stress over it causing the weird periods. :\

It actually is pretty normal for your periods to be wacked out. How old are you? Your period can be random for up to 5 years after you have your first one. Not to say that your case, but try to understand your mom. She's been there, she was a teenager once, too!
