I'm no medical expert or anything like that, but it's been my experiance that no matter how regulated or how "normal" your period is, it always changes at some point. Take me for example. Usually after several months of abstenence, being sexually active causes my period to start itself up again even if I just got off it a week before.
It may be that your period simply changed and decided to stop after you had sex. To ease your mind, take a pregnancy test in about 7-10 days and check, but it sounds like something I went through once. I use to have mine for 7-8 days before I had sex once during my period. I only have it 2-4 days now.
My sister use to go 3-5 months without having her period because of POCS (Polly Ovarian Cysts). But when she became sexually active, it regulated her period and now she has it once a month.
Like I said, I'm no medical expert, but it sounds to me like your period simply decided to change the way it works. Again, take a test in a week or so to be sure and ease your mind of things. But you'll be fine either way.
