    Hi

I have been on the pill for about 6 years, i am taking cilest. however, recently i have noticed that my breasts have become tender, i ran my pills together to miss a period a couple of months ago and they were sore for about a month, as soon as i came off my pill for my period a couple of weeks ago they went back to normal and went back down in size. i have been back on my pill for about 2 weeks now and the sore breasts are starting to come back, i have never suffered with sore breasts before with being on the pill, do you think this is a sign that i might need to change my pill?! very confused as to why its started happening now. i am definately not pregnant.

This happens to me a lot and I've been on the same pill for quite some time. I also did the whole "miss a period" thing one month due to a fourwheeling trip (who wants to be out changing a tampon while squatting in the woods!?) and I paid dearly for it for the next several months. I not only had the WORST PMS of my life, but had several very long unexpected periods. Almost like my body paid me back for messing with it's cycle.

It may take a few months to get you back on track, but I personally wouldn't switch pills if that is the only problem. If your periods are normal, your face isn't erupting like a volcano, and your moods seem to be stable, I'd say your pill is just fine. Your body is probably just adjusting to the change in hormones when you ran your pills together.
