Question 3 day light peroid. PMS after?

Regular peroid about 5+ days and heavy, this one was extremely light and only lasted 3 days.
So, I'm nothing short of confused. I know I'm not pregnant, I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas? Or has experienced this before?
I'll start off by saying NO: I'm not under stress, I'm not irregular, I am sexually active, I took a test and it was negitive. Okay?
I'm your class A, text book, health class, period haha.
So, I will start out by saying that this one was strange for me. It only lasted 3 days, I bled through 2 super tampons in one day and other than that it wasn't even enough blood to go through a regular tampon in 6hrs. Usually I'm bleding all over the place and super plusing it up every 4hrs on the dot for the first 3 days, than after that It's normalk for 2 or 3.
The usual PMS symptoms that occur before my peroid came after it was all over. And coupled with that was heartburn and exaustion. I actually had to call into work for a few days because I couldn't be on my feet that long! (I haven't done that since I was 16! I'm 22 now).
So, if anybody has any idea as to why this might have happened please let me know what you think! I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks.

I forgot to mention, the other posts listed on my profile weren't from me.
My little sister wanted me to ask for her friends as well as herself (she's 16, so easily embarassed). She ound out from her doctor, after these had been posted, she has had painful cysts on her ovaries. Turns out that was her problem to begin with but she still wanted outside advice.

(She has her own membership now, thank goodness)

Also, I would like to add that I am currently unable to delete any of my pervious threads. This one, however, is mine and I would greatly appreciate some advice as well!

I used to have very heavy periods like yours, but in the last couple of years they have been much lighter. Sometimes, I have cramps with very little or no blood for a day or so, sometimes in the middle of the period! Weird. I used to bleed 5 days straight before it tapered off with the cramps during the first days only. Also, after its completely over, now sometimes I get PMS type cramps randomly when it should all be over, like the day after its done. So, I don't know, but I think periods just change over time. May be more serious though like a cyst or something. If you can, I would see a GYN just to be sure.

Your periods can and will change over time. Diet, exersize, stress (you have whether you always realize it or not) environmental factors, can all affect it. The fatigue could be anemia? Check out the Woman's Advantage Diet. Your hormones change throughout your cycle and your diet affects it, changing what you're eating can affect it positively or negatively.

You should try to change tampons every 4 hours reguardless of flow, to reduce the chances of TSS.

There are many things that can alter your period from one month to the next. Stress and diet are major factors. My periods were regular, but they were heavy at times, which is due to my hormones. I also was anemic, so I am on the pill, which regulates them and also makes for a much lighter flow. Thank God ! Even if you don't need the pill for birth control, and you are able to take them, I would give it a try. You won't believe the difference.
