I already called my Gyno and can't be seen until March, so i'm just looking for answers at this point. First off, i am 35, have 2 children, not on BC pill, and normally have a regular period every 3 weeks. I had my normal period on January 25th that lasted 5 days. I had quit bleeding up until Feb. 4th. Started like a normal period again on the first day, second day was like light spotting, 3rd and 4th days were only a brown discharge, which i thought it meant it was over. Yesterday, hardly anything, this morning marked the 6th day and started all over again, red bleeding just like the first day, but never heavy enough to even fill up a pad. It's more like bleeding in the morning, tapers off to spotting, then hardly nothing by nightfall. It's got me confused because the last time me and dh had sex was at the beginning of December, so if i was pregnant, i don't think i would've had a normal period in Dec. and Jan. I do have some slight cramping on the ovaries, but nothing major. Feels like a regular period to me, maybe not as bad as one? I guess what has me frightened is i had read an article about women using Laptops and the increase of cancers, and i have been using my laptop for a few hours every night since May. I am hoping and praying it's nothing serious. My periods have been normal, except maybe heavy at times in the past. No history of cancer in my family. My mother had problems in the past with cysts. The only problem i've had in the past were either yeast infections or Vaginosis. But this is the only symptoms i really have. If anyone can give any advice, i'd appreciate it, or at least set my mind at ease about using the laptop. Just when i think the spotting has stopped, it starts all over again.TIA!
Hi, just a quickie.... I used to work as an RN in family planning, and it is not at all uncommon for women to have normal periods despite being pregnant, sometimes up to 5 months.
also, periods change patterns, that can be perfectly normal, as we get older our hormones change and that affects the cycle, so don't panic... chances are it is all perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
