I'm fifteen years old and I started menstruating around a year ago. I've never had a normal period and have been on one cycle for as long as three months. But usually I will have it for 2-3 weeks and have a few days of weird colored discharge and then I would start again. I've talked to my doctor and he says there is nothing wrong with me and I just have to wait 6 months for my body to regulate, but as I said I've been going through this for more than a year.

I'm not sexually active and it worries me that I started so late. My grandmother had irregular periods but rarely having them, rather than being constantly on it. Also my mother had ovarian scists when she was an adolescent.


Can some please give me suggestions of what might be wrong with me. Thank you very much.
