I am on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo Birth Control pills. I read online that if you wish to skip your period, you can skip the placebo (inactive) pills and take the dark blue (strongest) pills. It was a year anniversary for my boyfriend and me, so I didn't want my period to interfere with our plans. I skipped three placebo pills & instead took the blue. [We were together those 3 days] But I still had breakthrough bleeding Sometimes it's alot, other times it's barely there. I also have terrible cramps. I started taking my placebo pills now (in hopes that I'd get my period and get it over with, before next weekend) and I still haven't had a period. I still have this breakthrough bleeding, cramping, and spotting. Does anybody know what's going on? I just want to get the period done & over with!
