A woman's bleeding can last anywhere from 1 day to 10 days. Some times more or less depending on things like stress and hormone fluctuations. It's normal for your period to be different from time to time. They change as we age. I wouldn't worry about the light spotting.

Also, many women who are on their period will experience an aching feeling in and around their vagina. It is also normal and will pass once your period is finished. I have noticed that the aching feeling down there gets worse if you are standing for a long time. Try sitting or laying down when you get that aching sensation. Ibuprofin/Advil will also help with the pain.

    Default Signs

    It depends on your normal.

    For example...I used to be
five days, one heavy, two not much
three a flood, four light, five very light...
    then I went to three...floods...
eventually it settled to about four days,
the first unbearable, the second nearly
unbearable, the third a 'normal' period
    the fourth light...
    But the 'changes' were steady...

The pain would make me go to the
    doctor, that doesn't sound like
    anything I experienced.
