Plan B advice!!
a few days ago, i took the plan B emergency contraceptive pill. i read something on the internet that confused me...it said that after taking it, you should get your period in 2-3 weeks. however, when i had intercourse, it was the day after my period had ended so getting my period again in two or three weeks does not make sense to me. can someone who has taken the pill before help me out??
I haven't taken Plan B - but I have taken similar 'morning after' type pills.
Basically, it is a huge dose of hormones and has an effect on the natural progression of your cycle. You can expect your period in 2 to 3 weeks.
Also - depending on how long your cycle is and how long you actually menstruate for you if you think about it the '3 weeks' end of that estimate isn't so far out from normal - or it wouldn't be for me. I have 27 or 28 days cycles and my period lasts about 5 or 6 days - so if I took Plan B the day after my period stopped that would be day 6 or 7 and my period would be due in 3 weeks anyway.
