Thread: d & c and hysteroscopy

hello everyone..
i am 48 yrs old, had a d&c on tuesday-4/9/09, was recommended by gyn, have had excessive bleeding during periods causing low iron, day of d&c had only light bleeding, mostly spotting....next day, no bleeding, small amount of discharge.....but yesterday out of nowhere came a sudden gush, am still bleeding, not large amounts, but enough to change pads every few hrs,
I had not had a period since May 1, 2009, had a tubal 25 yrs ago, but gyn did pregnancy test before surgery, so this had made my period almost 2 wks late, she told my fiance I may or may not get period, she is not in office today and here it is weekend approaching, (I was still a bit of out it from sedation)
I am assuming on my own, that this is my period, but I just don't know, having a lot of cramping and pain, which I am sure is being caused from the d&c itself,then menstraul pain.....
anyone have similar experience, first d&c and really don't know what to expect....
although i know my period was late....
