Hello all, first post here, been reading a lot and decided I should post my story to see if anyone out there has anything similar going on and what it could mean.

History - I am 22 years old, married for 4 years, no kids, not trying to conceive but not on any birth control pills (not for about 6 years anyway)... They make everything crazy for me and I do not like them. My cycle is 28 days and my period is always the same, light for one day, very heavy for 3 days and lightens up on the 5th day and goes away. That's how it has been for years and never skips a beat.

Ok, so hopefully none of this is TMI but more useful info to get some feedback. SO my dh and i dtd on June 8th, according to my math It was 17 days after my period, possible I was ovulating. 5 days later, June 13 (7 days before my expected period) I get this extremely light pink spotting. Since i never spot I didn't know what this was so I started researching and found "implantation spotting". I thought, wow, I could be pregnant! 3 days go by and I am still very lightly spotting, so the thought of it being I.S. is slowly dwindling away as I heard it only lasts a couple days at most. By June 17th (still 2 days before expected period), I actually get a bit more flow, it's heavier now but still nothing like a normal period. Then on the day I expected AF to arrive, it becomes VERY heavy, horrible cramping and fatigue, weakness, etc. It's been three days like this so I've been bleeding for almost 10 days. Very abnormal for me!!! I never took a pregnancy test as I have heard they are useless until you at least "miss your period" or 2 weeks after conception, so I didn't want a "false negative" and think I could rule that out. Today IS two weeks after though... But now i think i really can rule it out. But who knows?

I have a few thoughts as to what it can be - is miscarriage a possibility? I am going crazy, last week I was excited to think I might be pregnant, then that turned into thinking i have miscarried, to who knows what maybe I wasn't at all! Nothing in my life has changed, no added stress lately so I just don't know what to think!

I don't have insurance and will go to the doctor hopefully when my bleeding stops since I'm not sure if they can examine you during??

I am so sorry this is so long and I contemplated posting because, who is going to read all this? Lol! Hopefully someone will. Thank you guys!

    -Jen

I really wish I could be completely helpful but I can tell you that you are not alone and I'm seeing a doctor currently to try and figure it out. I'll tell you where I'm at so far. End of April I started spotting. Same as you. Mine would last like 3 days then stop, then come back then stop....etc for like a month. Around mid may it started picking up a bit. Got heavier and heavier. Just when I thought it was about to finally end, on May 30, my boyfriend and I went to the beach and it was like the flood gates opened. I put in a fresh tampon for the hr drive to the beach, by the time I got there, I had soaked through the tampon, through my bathing suit on to his car seat. Since then, some days I've been at a normal flow, others I've over flowed. I have always been a tampon user but now I cant trust them not leaking (which I've ruin so many clothes because of this). for a while I had to double protect and now I've slowed down to being able to wear the same pad all day at work. I to was just like you. I started spotting and got all excited cause tho I'm not married, my boyfriend and I very much want to start a family. Not planning but if it happens, we would be very happy. Last month I went to the doctor. Tho they can not do a pap on you while you are bleeding, they can do a pelvic to check for any abnormalities in there. I had a pelvic and blood work done and everything says I'm normal. I've been under stress the past yr because I lost my Mom to Lung cancer but I cant see that doing all this. When she was sick, my period would jump around but would come every month. Thats normal but not bleeding for now over 2 months none stop. I go again on July 17 for another appointment. I girl at work had the same thing and they put her on meds to stop the bleeding and she's fine now. If you're 2 weeks in, chances are you are gonna continue unless you are lucky. at 2 weeks I was thinking "ok, this has to stop" At 4 weeks I sat in the bathroom crying cause I didn't want to put another tampon in. and now well lets just say that my boyfriend would welcome PMS anyday over what i'm like now.
