My cycles have been usually normal lasting only an average of 4 days, even on birth control. Then about 2 months ago they started being more painful and lasting longer. I've been in to the Emergency room twice in the past week for lower abdominal pain and discovered that i have an ovarian cyst. I've never had one before and i know that they can mess up your cycles pretty bad. I am currently on antibiotics for an infection as well.. I'm starting to get worried because it's been over a week and my period hasn't stopped yet... it has also changed from its regular color to a dirty brown color.

Is this normal? and how do i know if it passes on it's own?

I can't get in to see my doctor till next week
