Thread: Polycystic Ovaries??

Hi There,

I recently had an ultra sound as I am having too many periods

The lady said their is a possibilty that I have Polycystic Ovaries, and that I need to see my Doc and have a bloode test.

I have been reseaching this and most web sites say that a side affect of PCOS is a lack of periods or none at all. I am now confused and wonder if they could be right?

Does anyone have information on this that they can share?

Did you ever go to your doctor? i was diagnosed with PCOS in 05 and had surgery to remove any scar tissue from them bursting. I have been on BC since 03 so my periods were normal i just had alot of pain. Recently, i had surgery to remove the endometriosis found on my ovaries and have had spotting ever since.

Please check with your doctor and do not be afraid to ask questions. That is what they are there for. It's better to ask a professional and know then to sit and wonder and drive yourself insane.
