I'm new, hope I haven't posted in the wrong place!

My period is late, I never keep track but I'm thinking about 2 weeks late. There is no way I could be pregnant. I'm 21, healthy (as far as I'm aware anyway), not under weight, haven't really had anything stressful happen. So can't really think why it would be late. They've been funny for a year or so, been getting periods every 2 weeks or so but they've never really been regular so I haven't been bothered. I've never had bad cramps or bad PMT so haven't thought there's anything to worry about.

But now I actually feel like I'm going insane. My boobs have been REALLY sore for the last 2 weeks, got quite bad cramps which seem to come and go and back ache and I just feel really. I've got PMT like you wouldn't believe which is not only making me miserable, it's making everyone around me miserable. I stayed in bed for hours after I was awake this morning because I knew as soon as I got up I'd just say something to someone which I know I don't mean but I can't stop myself. Got up eventually and have spent the whole afternoon in tears feeling like there's not much point and I can't be bothered to do anything. Went out for dinner with the family and couldn't face food just wanted to leave. And this really isn't like me at all.

Sounds ridiculous probably and I probably am over reacting slightly but wondering if it's ever going to come! Getting a bit sick of rushing off to the loo hoping the cramps mean something's happening then getting disappointed because nothing is happening and the PMT just seems to be getting worse.

Was talking to my bf last night who's a doctor and he says I should see my GP but can't make an appointment till Monday. Probably should have made an appointment before, I know.

Just wondering though, till Monday, anyone have any ideas what could be going on? Or just ideas for keeping the mood swings under control, can't go through another day crying non stop, it's just stupid, it's getting me down.

    So, any ideas?

My period finally started yesterday morning. But woke up this morning in a ridiculous amount of pain, couldn't even move and had to hold my breath because it felt like that was the only way it would stop. I'm bleeding stupidly heavy, got up from bed and it had soaked through everything in just a few hours Managed to get an appointment at the doctors for this afternoon because I can't stand the pain, it's awful. But I'm panicking.

Could this just be because my period was late?
