Hello, Im sure ya'll get a lot of this. I worry a lot about things, so I guess im looking for some comfort. Here are the facts:

1)girlfriends 2ND TO LAST period was 52 days ago. So, she had one inbetween but we cant remember when. A normal one

2)She is usually on a 25-27 day cycle

3)We had sex for the first time in those 52 days about about two weeks ago, twice, it was very carefully protected with a condom both times. I always dont get near her without it on, and thoroughly check it afterwards, to the point of filling it with water to check for any small leaks etc. I know its wierd, i worry a lot. She is not on the pill. brand new condoms, trusted brand.

4)She typically gets exteremely moody prior to her periods. She has been having extreme mood swings in the past few days, along with a hot flash complaint (which is typical of her) about 3-4 days ago.

    5) she has been under an EXHORBINANT amount of stress with school, family, and other issues, and has been on the verge of nervous breakdown, and then fine an hour later. She just took an exam last night, and this morning she found out about some very stressful situatinos involving her family and other things.

I am worried sick that she may be pregnant. She worries a lot about it too, which I know can delay it more. Using math, if she averaged 26 days on each, she should have had it today I think.

Should I be worried? Please, help me out. Thanks so much, sorry to be long..winded?

I should maybe note that its by far the most amount of stress i've ever seen her under in the two years I have known her. Also, during all this, she is travling to see a friend somewhere she's never been, so shes nervous about that as well. She is 22.

Also, she typically gets bad cramps the day before or day of, but has not really complained of any. However sometimes she'll be perfectly normal one day and the next day have it.

Have you guys purchased a home pregnancy test? Instead of worrying your self sick go get one put your mind at ease. If its positive well youhave lots to discuss and if its negative you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Stress could be delaying her cycle from starting on time but go get a test.

Sounds unlikely that she is pregnant. Why don't the two of you visit planned parenthood and look at the options? It's sound like you don't have a very active sex life, she might find a diaphram works really well. It's easy and you won't have to stress with the condoms.

Stress can mess you up in all sorts of ways. Maybe the two of your should find some ways to relax more?

well i usually go get her a home pregnancy test and when she takes it, it always comes like the next day cuase it relieves her. she is at home for the summer thats why we arent very active, and right now she is out of town visiting friends, so she cant really go buy a test.

i guess thats why i am so concerned, when i am with her, i feel like i can help her more and just be there, when shes alone i think she worries more. when we are together we are definitely more relaxed, shes just going through some hard times

thanks for the responses! its hard to find people to talk to sometimes, every bit helps

SHE JUST TEXT ME, she got her "friend"

I am a relieved boyfriend now, I love her very much, so the thought of this right now would be hard to swallow. I need to learn to relax, but it also may teach us that we need to use a second method to keep us relaxed, I think it would help us both out.

Thank you for your kind support

    Congrats on the period coming.

You guys sound like you are both over doing it on the worries. Testing your condoms with water , not going near her without it on, buying home testing kits routinely.

Its good to be careful but a condom used correctly is very effective. If you do the condom AND natural family planning (abstaining during her fertile time) you might relax more.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

I agree we are both too stressed out. You are definitely right. I think she may go back on birth control in august-just because I think we'll relax more. I know this situation sounds a bit much, but better to be safe right?

    anyways. Thanks.
